Job Description

This internship provides a comprehensive introduction to leadership consultancy, while encouraging exposure to a variety of business functions.

As an Intern, you will support Consultants with their organisational and private-client projects. Our work includes making recommendations, designing implementation processes, and measuring outcomes. Examples of some of the challenges we help clients address are:

  • How do you transform mindsets within an organisation?
  • How can you find and leverage new innovative capabilities in a firm?
  • How can you support the success of all stakeholders within a firm, including a suitable focus on fostering inclusion and diversity?
  • How can you support senior leaders with career management?
  • What capabilities do the leaders of tomorrow need to possess? What is the most efficient and effective way to equip leaders with them?

Selected interns will receive an extensive training program. This will be delivered by consultants and executive coaches. Training will cover key topics such as driving organisational change, presenting engaging research, and the power of deep psychometric testing.

Candidates should have a strong interest in human and organisational behaviour, and how this relates to leadership effectiveness and business performance. We work in a fast-paced environment and you must be able to adapt quickly to change. We look for candidates who articulate themselves eloquently both verbally and in writing.

  • High degree of creativity, demonstrated in problem-solving, writing, visual or theatrical arts, or other
  • Fast learner with respect to new knowledge, technical skills, and business acumen
  • Able to grasp, synthesise, and clearly communicate complex and nuanced information. Quick to pivot approach/content based on fresh insight
  • Strong rhetoric in writing and/or speaking, complemented by very articulate use of English (verbal and written)
  • Can work independently and take initiative (intellectually, pragmatically)
  • Can stay positive, productive, and maintain high attention to detail in periods of high uncertainty/pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a healthy level of self-awareness
  • Demonstrable interest in understanding people, their motivations, and their behaviours
  • Proficient in MS Office

Key Responsibilities

  • Support consultants with our organisational and private-client projects, including fielding ad hoc client requests and keeping up with developments in client organisations and their industries
  • Conduct research and analysis to support recommendations and solution implementation for our clients
  • Develop an understanding of how key industries work, from a strategic and operational standpoint. Understand the day-to-day implications for leaders and their teams
  • Develop a core understanding of psychological and behaviour change theories, processes, and practices
  • Develop a core understanding of organisational consulting frameworks and practices
  • Help prepare reports, presentations, and infographics for internal and external use
  • Contribute to our thought leadership work by assisting with research
  • Help consultants implement business development strategies. Research and suggest new opportunities

Qualifications & Experience

  • In the penultimate year of a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a globally leading university, graduating in 2023
  • Evidence of having acted in team/leadership role (at university or other) or evidence of having acted in an entrepreneurial capacity with respect to any academic, professional, or personal choices made
